will 60 ft affect mph ?

welll i went to the track today averaged around a 2.3 60ft on street tires i had to let off it a average of two times per run or I would go sideways... would this affect my mph in the 1/8th? i was paulling 1.8s on nittos last year and trapping a lil higher or the same ive added long tubes since then and trapping lower or the same mph, do u think my 60 ft is hurting my mph?

If you have to get off the gas 2 times per run it's got to slow you some.

We had a car that always ran 110 mph in the quarter with ets from 12s to high 11s. Always 110 mph. Ets varied directly with 60' et. So certainly 60' effects 1/4 mile et, but I don't remember 1/8 mile mph.

I should point out that there may have been other contributing factors to the 110 mph 1/4 mile limit. It was a stock TPI vette.
