try slipping it, it may be just what you need. slip it with some wheel spin. I think thats what works best for me. Your car has tons left in it. It should be able to run 12.90's or low low 13's @105,107.

Maybe 103 tops lol, i'm sure its peter'd out around 102, but that should still be good for very low 13s, i'll go back this friday & start with 22-23 psi & try & spin these tires some, i really can't complain much, this old boat has everything in it (includeing jack & spare), 13.5s on a 2.0 in this air isn't shabby, especially with 158K miles & never having the VCs off, i'm sure its still on the original Opti & cap/rotor too

Should i get a 2 step limiter, a higher source highly recammended it for the best 60ft. times leaving at WOT, or is this just too hard on parts in my case?

I do not think it will do what you need. There are many other things to try before a 2 step....

How much?? I see Spohn has some nice tubular ones for 155.00 (19.00 shipping), they run them on a 7 sec. car with no problems, can you beat that price , if so, i'll buy them from you , do you have a contact #?

"Something has to spin" ...Or preferably slip the clutch.
Doesn't someone make an adjustable clutch for the LT1s?

My adjustable (slipper type) clutch shaved 2/10s off my 60' .

There has not been anything developed for the LT1 stuff that actually works the way it should as for as the slipping of the clutch goes.
if they would develop a cable type mechanism it would be alot helpful but nothing so far.
But do agree, if we could get a good clutch set up it would be best to let the clutch do the work as it does in the mustangs and older chevys....but until then, let the tires spin some.

It is alot of fun talking to the manual guys that run NMRA, they have the clutch figured out!!!
