Who makes ET Streets????
Thanks Dan. What size you think I should run with my mods?? I took my car to the tracks for the first time since throwing in my motor and spun all the way down the track. Right now I have 17" ZR-1's laying around and I also have the stock 16" rims laying around.
Mickey Thompson:The charts show what size rims will work for each tire
.
I'm likely going with a set of the new E/T Street Radials at some point so that you don't need to run bias-ply tires in the front like you're supposed to for regular E/T Streets

ET Streets are great tires...
However, there are a few things to be weary of with them that I learned the hard way. My dad has a set of them that he uses for his car, and I borrowed them once for my car for a trip to the track. I honestly, I personally didn't like them at all. He has the the 26 X 10.5 ones...
I won't use them until I absolutely need to use a tire that big/sticky for reasons of horsepower.
Cons:
Due to the larger size of the tires, they in effect actually decrease the gear ratio....you won't accelerate as quickly w/them as you will with a smaller tire. If you have stock gears...I would shy away from them.
Also, because of the size of them, they throw off the ABS sensor. I learned this the hard way. The difference in speed between the front wheels and back wheels (due to size) will send the ABS sensor a message when you hit the brakes after the traps doing 110 + mph and your ABS will come on STRONGLY!!! Honestly, that was my scariest experience ever at the track. I was doig over 110 mph, hit the brakes, felt the ABS come on and stay on, leaving me with about 50% of my regular braking power.
Finally, to get the best use out of ET streets, you need to run low air pressure in them. I ran about 12 pound when I used them, and its just flat out scary going that fast if you're not use to it. The car literally feels like its floating down the track and its VERY unresponsive.
Pros:
They're very sticky.
They're great tires for what they are designed for, but honestly, I just don't think they belong on a relatively stock car. I feel much safer running my car on nittos and my times are significantly faster with them too. I couldn't even get my car into the 12's with the ET streets because I was honestly just too worried about everything i stated above. I hope that keeps you informed about them so you won't freak out the first time you use them like I did...it wasn't fun.

I'm not so sure nittos would be the way to go w/your car...yes, I was talking about drag radials on my car, not just regular nittos.
From the mods in your list, it sounds like your car is a beast, I would go go w/the ET streets, but I would also think about putting some 3.73's in there. I would go with the 26 X 10.5's or 26 X 11.5's as somebody stated above. Those should be a god fit for your car. If you're gonna run them on stock wheels and w/out a tube, I would probably lean towards the 10.5's personally...just for safety purposes.
What kind of #'s does your car put down if you don't mind me asking?
What did you run at the track w/the regular tires?
Best of luck,
-Dan

Go look at my post in LT1 tech. I was spinning all the way.

I run the 26x11.5x16 Et streets and have never had problems with my ABS. My guess is that is something about the 98+ ABS system that does not affect the LT1 powered cars and their older system.
I run about 15 lbs and have managed 1.70 60fts on them, and that much pressure keeps the car from getting too wiggly at the top end of the track. You're really not supposed to run less than 15lbs in them w/o the inner liners anyway, for safety reasons.
It is true they gear the car up, and for a car w/o enough hp it can really slow you down. My old combo was 310rwhp and the ET streets cost me 2mph trap speed, but the current setup has more than enough power to overcome it IMO, besides, I have a set of 3.73's going in soon anyway which should really wake the car up.
