who has the best 60' on the stock convertor?

I got a set of ET Streets a couple months ago, and haven't seen much improvement in my 60' times. I got one 1.995 60' my last time out...my best 60' on street tires was a 2.0x, and I got consistent 2.0's on street tires. I'm actually less consistent with the ET streets, I guess I need to practice more . I'm talkin everywhere from that one 1.995 to some 2.1's and I think even a 2.2 or two .

I know a high stall convertor would most likely drop those down to consistent 1.7's or 1.8's, but I'm eventually converting to a M6 and don't want to put any more money into my automatic tranny. Is anyone out there getting consistent sub-2.0 60' times with a stock convertor? (preferably with a similar power level to me). If so, how ya doin it?

Where's Joe (ramair95ta)? He has cut a 1.78 or so on completely stock motor w/ stock converter. No boost and no juice. I'm sure he'll jump in here.

Man I've seen that and I still have no idea how that's possible.. but oh well :P

Best I ever cut on stock converter was a 1.9 on Nitto's.. ET Streets on a stock converter car is probably bogging.

I average 1.67 with 17" drag radials using a stock converter and stock 3.23 gears.

What kinda 60' times were you getting when you were in the mid 13 second range? A good bit of your faster 60' is obviously because you're making alot more power...just curious what that translates to at my power level

I;m running et streets now as well. I pull consistent 1.95-2.05 60 ft's. I think that's as good as its going to get with the stock stall in there.

Thinking about getting a slightly higher stall this winter.

the best 60' I've cut was a 2.05 on Kelly Charger tires(they suck), lakewood lower control arms, and !front swaybar.

Hopefully I'll pull a 1.9X or better after the eibach drag springs

The higher stall might help a lot but I think you could get lower than that on et streets. i pulled 1.88ish with a bone stock 89 305 TPI w/ 2.73 gears. Try a little higher tire pressure.
