whats 108mph worth

well i went to the track last week with a friend even though my car is in no way ready for it, but i could not resist. although i was expecting a better mph

mods in sig, 3.42's, all season tires, all stock suspension

my real question is, how much better do you think i would have done with some traction, i spun through first, through second, most of third and finally hooked up as i shifted into fourth and crossed the traps. it was spining and swaying so bad i was scared to let off

time slip is as follows, two runs both almost exact the same

r/t=.423
60'=2.4
330=6.22
1/8=9.18
mph=83.78
1000'=11.67
1/4=13.76
mph=108.1

edit: also i am using a very conservative 89 octane tune for now

mid 12's....but you may have got sdome of that mph from spinnig and somewhat giving the car a "running start"

hi 12' low 13's with a good 60' 1.8's or so

i didnt spin off the line at all, came off the line real easy. but the whole rest of the time it was spinning. i was thinking my mph would be a good bit higher with traction

MPH stays fairly consistent even if you spin off the line. MPH is a result of HP. ET is a result of traction. I'd also say you're spinning off the line especially with a 2.4 60' time. If you were able to run mid to high 12's based on that MPH, you should have at least a 1.8x 60' time if not slightly lower.

Get some traction and get that 60' time down.

Whats the elevation of the track for your mods the mph seems kind of low to me.
my cars a A4 and it traps 101-103 with headers catback and tune, at 13.23 1.89 60'

with the mods in your sig id expect much more then that.

On reasonably decent trakcs in reasonably decent air I was running 13.5-13.6 at 100-101. By the time I was obtaining 106-107 I was mid 12s. At 110-111 I was in the 11s.

Gearing and efficiency has a lot to do with ET. MPH is generally a measurement of raw power. There are a lot of factors and variables that go into the MPH/ET equation.

i came off the line real easy, tryin to baby the rear. was not really worried about anything but the mph. but as soon as the power came on it was spinning the rest of the track. prolly gonna borrow some slicks and go back once more before the end of the year

and not sure of the elevation, numidia dragway in catawissa pa

Elevation: 970 ft so your not in too too bad of shape should make for some decent times given good tires.
