What are you hoping to run this season?

I am shooting for 11.8x with the set up I currently have, but running on ET Streets and skinnies up front. When I got my sig time I was on 275 Nitto DRs and 275 kumho exsta MXs up front, so hopefully the added traction and decreased weight will help me achieve that. Oh, and cooler weather too!
After I do that, I will be getting a 9", 4.10s, 3600 stall, LE3 heads/cam package, and about a 100 shot. After all that I am hoping for at least real low 11s, and maybe high 10s.

I'm looking for high 9's in the 1/4 in my nova. I'll let you know in a week and a half if I make it.

I'm looking for a 9 second pass also but I'm also doing it at altitude. Typical race day here is 5000 feet density altitude.

I hope to run the entire season without a major mishap. It would be nice to end the season with the same car that I started out with.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

I'd like to go sub 12s on the motor. I'm not sure how that's going to work out. Once I get bored w/ that, I'll start spraying it. Ideally, I'll be happy w/ the car just running. This will be the 4th motor in a 17,000 mile '95TA.

Later,

Steve.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

I am hoping for mid 11s and 117-119mph traps. It will be interesting trying to get the car to hook though.

Nick...Tri-State has the first TnT on 4/16. I plan to head down there with a few friends, one of them with a supercomp dragster. Let me know if you want to head down with us.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

My goal was 10.90's on the motor at 5,300 elevation. Good DA for me is 6,000'. First time out with the new combo was 11.33@122mph. Just need to knock off .34 tenths and I'm there. I think I'm one of the fastest 6 speed LT1's on the motor, well in the top 5. Should run low 10's at sea level. I'll report back with this weekends new times.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

Since I never got into the 12's last year (albeit, really, really close!!! ) I'm looking for SOLID 12's this year.

I've got a couple serious plans for the car that should pretty much guarantee 12's, so long as I can get the car to hook, and everything stays bolted together!! Look at my sig, and there are a couple key ingredients missing from the mix.....lets see who can figure them out!!

I'd like to say I'm shooting for 11's, but I don't want to get over-optimistic!

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

Looking to go 11.2-11.3 on motor with the new 6" rod, 847 cammed, 12:1 355..Then looking to go 9.90-10.0 on the 200 shot of NX. The car should weigh in at right around 3300# with the weight coming out, and the 8 pt. going in.
