I ran back in the fall and ran 8.5's @ 84mph. I went the other day to the track, it was 93 or so degrees and high humidity (the south of course). I only could muster a 8.8 @ 82mph. Its gotta be the heat right?? BTW these runs were at 210-220degrees engine temp. I beat the LS1's I ran (still have vids if anyone can host) and some lightnings couldnt break into the 8's at all. Im guessing its the weather that was killing everyones times. I just wanted to view what decrease's you guys had running in the fall then the summer. These are 1/8 mile times of course.

 

Well I normally run mid to high 7.4's in nice cool weather. Today it was 95 degs and I was running low to mid 7.6's, so around 1.5-2.0 tenths for me.

With the unreal humidity levels we get in the southern part of Louisiana during the summer... it's not uncommon to be .4 to as much as .6 off in the 1/4.

Robbie I ran 8.5@83 stock in the fall and as bad as 8.8@81 in the heat and both runs were with the same 1.99 60ft times.

Now since mods i have run 8.1 @ 86 with a 1.73 60ft in the heat,
now waiting very impatiently for cooler weather!!

I thought the heat was killing my times. When i got the time slip I was like whaaaaat. Then I realized my last runs were in the fall in much cooler dry weather unlike the current very hot and humid weather. Just never realized it made that much of a difference.
