What traction aids are you guys using?

I'm trying to find out what really works for you guys. I've tried the lower control arm relocation brackets, boxed lower control arms, bfgs on stock wheels and 10.5" et streets on 15" wheels ( which actually won't fit right now since I got new brake pads). None of these mods seem to help and considering that I've raised the stall to 3200 from 2800, I will need some more traction aids. Unfortunately the tracks around here aren't hooking too well now. I do have an airbag sitting in its box. I didn't want to invest $600 on drag shocks right now so are there any more little tricks I can try? Thanks.

I had to cut the retainer clips off my pads to get the wheels to fit. ET Streets should hook up. Lose the front sway bar. Lightweight wheels and tires for the front. Move battery to trunk area. Anything to facilitate weight transfer from front to back will help. The little stuff adds up but any one single change often is difficult to quantify. I know you don't want to do shocks but shocks and springs together will help too.

I didn't spend any money on suspension stuff. I have Koni's on the front, stock shocks on the back with an air bag. Skinnies up front, ET Streets in the back, and a 6 point welded bar. I have no problem hooking up unless the track is completely unprepared.

Traction...or lack of

I have always had trouble hooking better than 2.0's even on Drag Radials, not that I'm the best racer out there, either. But I have a few new things in the stable for this year, small stuff that will hopefully help me at least get 1.9's or even an eight out of my setup and go deeper 12's:

Stock rear and gears
New U-Joints
Poly Tranny Mount/Motor mounts
SLP Subframes & DS Loop
BMR LCA's and Panhard
1LE 21mm rear sway bar/Energy susp. poly bushings
BFG Drags Mounted to stock salad shooters
stock springs
KYB Gas-a-just rear shocks
Air Lift Bag for right rear (not installed just yet)
Poly Torque arm bushing
Awaiting SLP Adj Torque arm to come in.
Hurst Roll Control

This is all on the '95Z28, 6-speed w/RAM Clutch, stock flywheel, stock weight right at 3450 lbs.

What are your 60' times? My setup last year was not very "drag oriented". M6, Eibach Pro springs, stock shocks and swaybars, LCA relocation brackets and a Spohn torque arm. 60' times were in the 1.6sec range with 16" ET Streets. The best that I regularly see stock suspension type cars do with a 15x10" tire is in the 1.3 or 1.4's. So a 1.6 sec isn't bad. You should be in this range, depending on how much hp you have.
