What backspacing for 15x8 draglites and a few other questions??

I am getting ready to order my rear draglites and was wondering if I could get the right backspacing from you guys. I would be great if I could get the part # also. I have already ordered the front skinnys. The other thing is I have a set of Torque Thrust 2's they are 17x9.5's . I would like to be able to run them while I am not at the track. Has anyone found a solution to what studs and lugs I will need use to swap from my draglites to my TT 2's with out any mods. Or is this out of the question. I hate to have to swap studs between wheel changes.

The backspacing for the 15x8 DragLites should be 5.5". You could also use a 6.5", but that would sink them a bit too far into the wells, IMHO. The outer edge of the 15x8 5.5"BS would be in the same location as my 15x10 7.5"BS:

The DragLites require "extra long shank mag-style" lug nuts. They are available in 12mm, or in 1/2". You should be able to get open acorns in the same sizes, depending on whether you are running stock rear axles (12mm) or 12-bolt (1/2"). Problem is, with the Weld lugs, you will need studs close to 3" long.... that will make them stick wayyyyy out of the acorns for the TT's. I have the same problem running ZR1's, and found some 1/2 "duplex" acorns that at least cover most of the stud. I don't think you can get duplex acorns in 12mm.

Fred has pretty much hit it on the head. Theres not much you can do because the Weld's require such a long stud. I too cant say I have ever seen the "duplex" acorns in the 12mm, but you might be able to find something else that you could retap to the correct thread to make it look better. Changing studs isnt really an option either, way too much to do everytime. The 5.5" b.s. is good for the 15x8's, although I do know people who have run them with the 6.5". IMO, they dont look right like Fred said. 7.5" for 15x10's.

BTW, your mods are close to mine, and dyno #'s are very similar... got any timeslips to go with em? Just curious.

Hey Project, I went to the track twice(1/8). So far the first night out I let the car cool and made my first pass it was a 7.85 @84. The only thing was that I left the shifter in 2nd and hit the 6500 limiter a ways before the end of the track. So I was late to the track had no time to left to cool, made a hot run and went 7.9@87mph. they both had 1.7 60's. I hope to duplicate some of you and Ken95z28's times. I am very impressed with both of yours times and hope with the cooling of the weather that I can get them down. I have yet to insatll the Meizere(under the bed). Well yall take it easy. I will let you no how I do.

Awsome Jason... Your right on track where you should be. My best 1/8 mile to date is a 7.5 @ ~90. But the 60's are in the low 1.6's and an ocasional 1.59. Get your 60's down and youll be right there too. I'd look twards that converter. I think you will really benifit from a higher stall/STR and some sticky tires. The 2800 is probably holding you back.
