I honestly wouldn't beleive it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes... a ****ing RABBIT made a pass like 13.2 and my friend had an elevation meter thing and said for that night the track was at 4700! which means at sea level, this rabbit would roast an LS1 by over a full second! in fact he did! my stock LS1 got a 14.5 as my best run last night.

I've been drag racing for close to 20 years, it has taught me one thing. With enough money and/or determination you can make ANYTHING fast. I got roasted by a low 13 second YUGO about 10 years ago. The whole ricer phenomenon is based on this principle, with enough money even a Honda can be fast.

I've seen a VW bug run low 10's--looked almost stock, except for the wheelie bar & fat rear slicks.

 

A guy I work with, his brother has a 9 sec bug. Saying that, it's tubbed and has an LT4 in it!!
