Thanks. On that 3rd pass the coil wire broke causing the car to shut down. I had no idea what the problem was and had to be towed off the track I knew it had to be ignition related but thought it was the MSD box that had gone bad. When I tried disconnecting the coil wire it just popped right off.

I'm maybe 30 min. from Pasadena.

60' times ranged anywhere from 1.56-1.58. I'll have to find the slips to give you the 1/8th mile time.

The heads were done by ARE in canada a few years back. I'm not too sure if they're still around. I don't hear much about them now but they were very popular back then.

wow amazing runs... is that a drag queen? or do u actually drive it? if so hows the 846 on the street with the 3200 stall? and 3.73's? i am thinkin about a similar setup in the future.... but maybe have a custom grind made that resembles the 846.....

so those r stock heads that have been ported by ARE? and still the stock 10 bolt???

It isn't my daily driver but it is very streetable. I drive it to and from the track and ocassionally to work. It still gets 20 mpg on the highway. The car still has its full interior along with ac and stereo. The 846 is a very nice cam with enough torque for me to pull off a couple 1.55s. My guess is that with a lighter car along with longtubes and maybe a electric wp, 11.4s or quicker may not be out of the question with this combo.

The heads are stock castings that have been ported. It does have a 12 bolt but the stock rear lasted up until I was running 12.0s and pulling low 1.6 60' times.

My car weighs 3690 and I can only pull a best of 1.65 60ft. What is your suspension set-up? Did you find that the skinnies/lightweight wheels lowered your 60 times any?
