So I just ordered my DRs, LCAs, EWP and A/C delete today. What kind of mph improvement do you think ill see from those power freeing mods/weight reduction? I'm also removing the rear seat belts this week too. Also, will added traction improve my mph? I was averaging about a 2.35 60' time on street tires and had to keep backing out of it in 1st. (first day they were open, DR guys weren't doing much better)

Car is a bolt on, cammed, stalled, geared LT1 with light hand porting on the heads.

Re: traction and mph
Traction generally will not get you MPH.

It will reduce your ET.

So say your running 13.3 at 104 and a 2.3 60ft.

You get a better 60ft say a 1.9 the 4/10th on the line will be worth up to 6-7/10 on the top end.

You now run a 12.6 or 12.7 at 104/105mph.

MPH will be improved if you make more power.

Re: traction and mph
the weight reduction combined with the EWP shoild get you about 1 MPH. And as Tom just said the traction will get you ET.

Re: traction and mph
That wasn't the case for my car. Years ago first time out I did a best of 13.3 @103. Went back with only DR's and did 12.8 @105.

Re: traction and mph
I figured that the excessive wheelspin through all of first and half of second would slow you down a tad up top.

Re: traction and mph
Yep. I have changed nothing on my car many times and just by getting more traction the MPH improved 1-2 mph. 12.2s@113 to 12.1s@115

Re: traction and mph
I gain 5 mph when I can leave off the transbrake on a race tire vs. Peddling it on a street tire. Also I see a .7-.8 second ET drop.

Remove front sway bar? Always a good idea.

With traction you could be .6 quicker in the 60'. So... about a second faster that whatever the hell you ran with a 2.35 60 foot.
