Replaced my accessory belt.

Ran a 14.075 @ 99.66 mph. w/ .209 R/T and 2.151 60'.

Overall I'm pretty happy. Just got to get that 60' down.
What a coincidence, as that was me in the lane next to you on that run too! Congrats on the new best! As you can see on the slip, I ran 13.77 at 99.4 on that run, with a 2.00 60ft. I had let my car sit for over an hour with the hood open and pointed towards the wind, so the intake was nice and cool.

That was a good run.

I let my car cool down for a while in between runs. Seems to have made a big difference.

I kind a bogged of the line so I think there is still some to improve on.

Were you running street tires because I noticed you heated the tires up?

I've got Goodyear F1 GS D3s, which don't really need to be heated up, but I always do a quick burnout just because there is a lot of water all around the burnout box at TMP, so I want to make sure my tires are totally cleaned off before I get to the line. There are also a lot of little rocks and junk in the staging lanes, so a quick burnout helps get rid of those too.

Unfortunately that was probably the last time we'll get to race with the outside temperature that low until after summer is over. So I'll have to wait a while to try and better my ET again. By then I'll have fresh plugs too, mine are getting pretty old (over 42,000 miles on them now, so they are probably costing me 1mph in trap speeds)

a 2.09 is a very good 60ft for street tires, I really doubt you will go into the 1.9x area with regular street tires unless track prep is super awesome and you get an almost perfect launch. Patman has some of the best hooking street tires made with those gs d3's......so I wouldnt expect you to be able to compete with his 60 unless you have really good street tires. I 100% agree with you guys about letting your car cool down between runs......these cars run hot and will be down on power for sure if you dont let it cool. I ran time in sig before 160 thermo, fan switch, and airfoil with 2.73 gears and crappy street tires.......so I think I should be running about your times now patman.......although they are very good times for you mods.

I'm installing my Jet-hot long tubes at the moment. We'll see what a difference it will make.

I can't wait to join the 13's club. Just missed it barely.

I ran a lot of low 1.9 60ft times (best of 1.911) with my 95TA that I used to own, with 2.73 gears and BFG Comp TA ZR tires (not the drag radials) It ran 13.54 at 101.5 with a Mac catback, SLP Ypipe, and K&N FIPK.

So I do believe 1.90 60fts (or better) are definitely acheivable for A4 cars on a good track, if you've got the power to push the car off the line quick too.

Since my GS D3s are softer than my Comps, and that my 3.23s in my current car give a better launch, I believe that eventually I will cut a 1.8 60ft in my car. The best so far is only 1.94. But that was with no spin at all on that run, so with more horsepower the 60' could've been lower.

But you are correct, the track prep needs to be perfect.

If you go to the track often enough (and go to a bunch of different ones too), eventually you can get perfect conditions (both weather wise and traction wise)

True, the weather was very good on the day I ran the 13.54 in my old LT1, it was mid 50s. But it's not like those types of conditions don't happen for many tracks in the US, especially on the east coast. New Jersey for example, probably gets the best drag racing conditions in the world, they race right through the winter at a lot of the tracks, and are right at sea level too.
