Track Open's Friday Tip's Please!!!

Alright guy's this year I will actully be able to run at the track on the night that they time. Last year I ran on Friday Night Street racing and there was no times but this year I will run on Sat in bracket racing. I just need a few tip's from you guy's. Last year I was completely stock except for the K&N FIPK and I was also on street tires (Toyo FZ4's). This year I have a few mod's (listed below). I have a few question's. Car is an 99 Trans Am A4

1: Have nitto 555r's on the rear (245/50/R16) what should I run my PSI at on the track?
2: How long should I heat them up for?
3: My TA is an A4 how should I launch?
4: What gear should I leave the car in OD or D?

Here are my current mod's.
SLP LT's w/ORP's, SLP Loudmouth, K&N FIPK, Nitto 555r's, SLP 160% Thermostat, Holley LS6 Intake, NGK TR6's, MSD Wires, TNT F1 100 shot w/purge, heater, WOT Switch, FPSS, MSD Window Switch and remote opener, BMR SFC's, BMR LCA's, BMR STB and 3.73's.

I am looking to hit 11's. Can I do it?

If drag radials, the most common PSI I see is 14-16. Heat them up until you see some good smoke. Stall the car up by holding your foot on the brake and gas to whatever RPM you wish as long as the tires aren't spinning. It does matter what gear you leave it in. OD or D will be fine. I doubt it'd shift out of 3rd by the traps.

I guess you could take all that as a baseline. Can you get in practice runs before you actually race? Because that would be the best way to start off at. You probably won't be able to stall up over 1500 if you're on stock converter. Go out and practice launching on the street if you have to. Go to some secluded area and start going at it. It will give you a good idea of where you can launch at on the track, just remember you'll probably be able to launch harder on your nittos and the fact that the track has VHT on it. Hope that helps some.

1: Anything less than 18 psi can cause cupping which will reduce traction. Lay a short patch on blacktop at the pressure that you intend to run and make sure that it is uniformly black all of the way across.
2: After they start smoking give them a 6 or 7 count then let off of the brakes and burn on out of the box.
3: When I had the stock converter I had the best luck rolling into the gas from a 800 rpm stall. Best 60' was a 1.93 on Nittos NA.
4: Leave it in drive that way when you get to the end of the track and let off you'll have some engine braking.
If you can make it stick and spray shortly after launching yes.

Thanks for the reply's guy's. I just went out last night and got 4 runs in on Friday night street racing. Now I am going to run it on Sunday and get some times. Oh and by the way I won 3 and lost 1. My one loss was to a mid 80's Blazer that had a built 383 stroker. He got me off the line by about a car but never pulled the rest of the way and I didn't hook to well off the line and the switch for my bottle heater was broke so I only ran it with bottle pressure at 550. I am going to get the switch fixed today and see what happen's on Sunday. Thanks again
