Times..

Ok i went to the track the other night, worst night i could have gone, it was like 85 or so degrees and all i did was spin but im woundering what a 1998 M6 SS should run...the car is in super mechanical condition..ive herd from different sites taht these things under the right conditions can run low 13s and ive herd of 12's(very very rare) with a REAL driver which im not a pro dragger as we all know...but average time on a good weather day 65-70 degree....Im not proud of what i ran due to i spun into 2nd and then missed 3rd....im on junk stock tires still and soon to be getting bfg drags....

What i ran:

(missing 3rd and spinning through 2nd)

R/T-.692
60'-2.403
330'-6.356
1/8-9.5 (mph = 77.61)
1000- 12.218
1/4-14.501 (99.27mph)
Not to mention i have only owned my car 3 WEEKS!!! and coming from driving a import its a big curve....well thanks for the help guys and the info...

Justin

p.s.- Sorry for asking a question thats been asked a million times...i just went through alot of stuff and coulndt find the info i needed thats been done by others out there...

I got our 98 SS M6 to run a 13.30 @ 107 on a 2.07 60' with the FRA mod, K&N, lid, and Pro 5.0 shifter in 50° temps on the stock F1s. It takes practice to get a good number out of a stick car on street tires.

In Colorado those would be good times. Where were you racing? It takes a lot of practice to learn the craft. Don't worry about comparing with people at other tracks, it doesn't work that way. Just go again and have a good time and focus on improving. Et is about shifting, mph is about horsepower. Your mph indicates you could be in the 13's, so focus on learning to launch and shift more efficiently.

I think you did just fine.
