Suspension mods to make it hook up?
I am planning on ordering a star spec III this week, and plan on taking my supercharged 94 Z to Rockingham sometime soon.
What are some mods I can do to the suspension that are fairly inexpensive.
I know to remove the front sway bar. The car is lowered with Eibach Sportlines, about 2". I am running Kumho 712's 275/40/17 on SS wheels. The car is a 6 speed with 342 gears in the stock crappy *** 7.5. I have lca relocation brackets to install, but havent done it yet (keep thinking about another 9").
What will work for me to get some power down without sacraficing handling?
Thanks for the imput.

Looks to me like first you need some tires. A supercharged LT1 on street tires, properly tuned, probably is just not going to hook up. ET Drags or ET Streets is what you want.
Secondly, you need a real rear end. If you do hook up, you have a high probablility of needing a tow truck, however with street tires you probably don't need to worry too much because you will probably be more concerned about the rev limiter as you blow the tires off the car.
You can lose the sway bar, put on the loosest front shocks you can find, add an airbag to the rear and see what happens, but my hunch is that without tires you will be spinning hard. Lowered cars more generally more difficult to hook too, so that heightens the need for decent tires in my opinion.

I think I can get ahold of a set of bfg drag radials, or maybe even et streets, but I am getting alot of wheel hop right now also. I realize the probability of grenading the 7.5 and really dont care, that is just reason to buy a 9" (wife needs a good "reason" to spend the money). I am just trying to get a decent time out of the car if possible. The best short time I have under my belt was like a 1.97 before the supercharger on these tires, so I am not expecting much better than that (probably a lot worse).
Will adjustable control arms or an adjustable torque arm help me any here?
Thanks again
Stevie

Since you've lowered your car, I think that LCA relocation brackets are almost a must
. Right now, your LCA's are probably at the wrong angle, and until you install the reloc. brackets, they won't be doing their job properly and keeping the the diff. from flexing and keeping more weight on the back tires, thus, you're suffering wheel hop
. I say get those installed, and you may want to consider upgrading to stiffer LCA's too (although I don't think that adjustable ones are really necessary?
). As far as the torque arm goes, adjustable aftermarket ones are supposed to help, but I don't know how much (I'm still on the stock one right now).
I'd say the key right now is get the LCA's working for you, and get some tires as tnthub was suggesting
. Once you've done that, then see how the car hooks, and decide on more parts from there!
