Warm up the tires incredibly good. Stall it up to 1k or 1100 and then just plant your foot in it. Should hook n' grab. You might have to play with how far you stall it though.

i had a 2500 stall in my chevelle and i would bring the rpm's up to around 2000 i believe and then mash it when it goes green. a fellow at the track who seemed like he knew what he was talking about told me that holding the stall in the rpm's like that will burn it out quicker i guess. so from then on i'd just wait till it got green and stomped it. but i do think i needed to warm up my tires a bit more, all i could muster up was a 1.8 short time

Why would you say 1100rpms? Maybe you've got experience and that works for you but uhh.....I took my stock 96 Z up higher than that, around 1400-1500 I think it was. He's got the 3k stall...so I'd say somewhere around 2400-2600....good luck bro, post up yer slips

I used to be able to stall my 94 up to 1700-1800 and I netted a 2.092 60' with some bald but sticky street tires(SZ50EPs) launching the way I described earlier in the post netted me a 2.042 60' on completely different tires(Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 711). You've gotta try different things. I'm a firm believer in stalling it just a little above idle then mashing it. Try it out. I wasn't saying that was the way to do it, simply advice on what's worked for me and several friends with Fbods.
