Question Street Tires?

Hey I just got some Toyo Fz4, that I will be using ocassionally for racing, now what is a good launch point for street tires? And do I need to heat the up at all? I had completely bald tires before and I had to basicly launch at idle and would loose traction shifting into second (the whole *** end would swing out.) So any help at al lwould be great thanks.

Nope, don't heat them up like you do with slicks or DR's. Just do a lite burn to knock off the pebbles. You can try to lower the pressure if you like but with the stiff sidewalls on them it won't do that much good.

I put my 255's down to 19 psi at the track. I might try about 18 psi next time (and hope for some sub-2 second 60 foot times) but you have to keep in mind that your tires still have to hold up when you are passing through the traps at high speeds.
