your 02 should run a low 13 @ 105ish. A lid and tune would be my first two mods.

 

My 99 SS ran 12.02 @ 116.5 on street tires with boltons and full weight. 150k miles to boot. The ls1 is a beast.

 

2000 Z28 coup bone stock on the OEM BF Goodrich tires it came with when bought new ...12.96 @109 ... 6 speed manual ... and there are some that have gone quicker than that ... there have been magazines articles testing cars that went that turned ETs in the high 12s...but for the most part you are going to see 13.00 + ETs with a stock 4th gen Camaro ... the trick is having a sub 2.0 60 foot time.

probably high-mid twelves or something idk... just making a guess. I wish I had those heads lol. get a cam!

 

buddys 02 z28 3.23 gears, lid and cutout went 12.90 at 110, other buddys 00m6 z28 3.73, lid and some type of catback went 12.63 at 118. this was all at gateway international.

my 02 has never seen the track.

next mods differently a lid good filter, sfc, lca, and if money is not a big deal long tube headers, y pipe and tune.

With 120,000 miles and just a lid my 99 TA A4 went 13.37at 106mph.

On Yoko's with a 2.0 60ft.

 

How in the hell did you pick up 2 full MPH going to that kind of a converter? I've never heard of a switch to a big converter like that gaining someone that much speed up top, usually it stays the same or goes down.

 

Your friends LS1 Z28 did not run 118mph with a lid and a catback.

 

Because Yank converters are very efficient up top. Also went from 1.9x 60' to low 1.6x 60s with the motor being in the powerband the whole trip.

 

My 98 SS A4 Vert ran 13.4 @ 105 (2.07 60') with lid and flowmaster catback at sea level. I switched to a loudmouts and it dropped to 13.2 again at sea level (2.04 60'). With a -1500 DA day I ran a best of 13.003 at 108 on a 2.004 60' with same mods. I would imagine with the stock ls6 intake and good DA you should be able to run a 13.2-13.4 on stock tires.

 

'02 Camaro z-28 vert automatic ,stock tires,k&n filter,SLP lid,Manaflow Muffler (not catback),mild PCM tune. Dyno 326 hp at the wheels. Ran 13.19 @ 106.9 mph

 

Just took my 95 z28 to the track. Hit a 13.92 and 13.892 top speed was 103.3-103.5. I keep hearing about z28's hitting 13.3's-13.5's, just curious what I'm missing. It has AT with shift kit, CAI, throttle body, Flowmaster 3 inch exhaust w/ no cat.

 

LT1's are a bit slower than LS1's.

My 94 TA A4... Headers,CB,2800 Stall,FreeMods,Mad Wolf Tune Rear Seat and Spare Delete,Suspension and DR's..13.41 at 102.5mph

My 99 TA A4..Lid,Rear Seat and Spare delete 13.37@106.00MPH

My 99 TA A4... Lid,LT's Frost Tune Dr's and Rear Seat and Spare delete..13.141 at 107.83

Mod for Mod LS1's are quicker and faster.
