Steve Carbone RIP

Obituary is here: http://legacy.com/TulsaWorld/LegacyS...sonId=16124183

Steve was one of the "greats" of our sport when I was younger and his burndown with Big Daddy was one of the great moments at the Indy Nationals.

Re: Steve Carbone RIP

A legend gone. Was there ever any explanation of why Garlits didn't stage earlier?

Re: Steve Carbone RIP

Not that I am aware. I'm guessing it was simply a clash of the ego's and Steve started off colder than Garlits.
