So frustrating! Can't duplicate a good run

I went to a Tnt night tonight and had the best run of my life. I spent the next 8 runs trying to duplicate it, and I couldn't. I dont' know what I didto acheive such an awsome time, but i did. Here are all my runs.

2.27 short
9.38@75.0

2.25
9.43@75.3

1.845
9.05@71.4 WTF! how did I do it!!!

2.28
9.6@74.2

2.21
9.55@73.7

2.30
9.53@74.9

2.32
9.46@74.8

2.27
9.6@73.7

2.37
9.72@74.2

2.32
9.74@73.1

My car is a stock 94 LT1 M6 with a cone air filter and a flowmaster catback. I have brand new BFG Gforce sport rear tires, set at 18psi, and they were amazing!!! They hooked better that the Mickey thomson ET streets I used to have. I know that sounds crazy, but the BFG's really did hook like DR's, even thought they are cheap street tires. I bogged on every single run.

I was launching at 45-5000rpm, and my tires would dead hook and bog me to 2k-2300rpm. I don't know how in the hell I pulled off that 1.85 short time. Any suggestions?

It looks like something blew across the track and tripped the eyes, my reason for saying this is that it is a full 2 mph slower than your slowest pass but your .33 quicker than your quickest pass. That math is tough to compute.

What about the 1.78 you have listed 1st., whats up with that? The other is most likely a miss-print because you would Definitly feel a 1.85 60ft. from a 2.3

Whoops. I typed that wrong. It is supposed to be a 2.27 on my first pass.

My 1.85 short time felt ALOT faster than the rest of my runs. It was the first time my tires hooked on the launch. After that pass, the tires hooked every time, but the engine would bog.

I was revving it up to 4k-5k rpm and quickly feathering the clutch on the launch. I dunno how I got that single 1.85 though!

I would believe that something blew across the track, but the wind was totally calm last night.

IF anything, the starting lights might have messed up and not triggered untill my rear wheels passed through. That would explain the low time, and the low trap speed.

Well if it felt much faster then the others, then its possible, what most likely happened is you spun just enough to get in the power range without spinning much & bogging down, just enough to propell the car to that 1.85.
