slicks question

i have some full drag hoosier slicks on 16 psi .... if i dont warm them up and i stall would they still spin??? i havea 3500 stall converter ???

Depends on how much power you're putting to the ground and if the track you go to uses VHT or not. You DO want some heat in them for optimum performance though.

ok well i guess im putting down lot cuz i spin all 1st gear.. witha quick warm up..

You're going to have to experiment with different pressures to see what works best for you.

You didn't say what size slick you are running. But I am running a 15" rim with 10.50x15 Hoosier slicks at 10psi. I do have them screwed in to keep them from walking.Hope this helps a little.

A bolt on car with slicks should not have any trouble hooking up. I run 14 pounds in my ET streets and can hook on just about anything.

Try removing your front sway bar to facilitate weight transfer at the launch, 14 pounds in the slicks, a decent burnout, and putting about 40 pounds in the fronts. Avoid shiny spots at the line. Follow another car running slicks and line up in their tracks. Avoid street nights when the track isn't treated as well.
