Should I worry about breaking something.

As far as my rear end. I plan on running my mods below with sticky's. The only thing stock on my car is the rear end.

With a stroker and stcky tires I would be investing in a 12 bolt.

I predict that the only stock item on your car will need to be replaced.

If I were you I would be more worried about your transmission. I would get a girdle for the rear end and it should be fine for a while.

i forsee the stock rear having a short lifespan with that combo and stickies.

The trans looks to be built,so you should be fine there.

K....first off, what the heck is a girdle?

Didn't do much research on rear ends before I built this ****.

rear end girdle is a replacement cover made from cast alum with 2 bolts that are uses to preload the carrier caps.

Actually, on my very first pass after installing the stroker the transmission slipped... It was a TCI 700R4 with a 3600 stall.

This will only help a very little bit... I broke the rear a couple of times with a cover before I installed the stroker. I finally put in a 12 bolt.

no mods needed for a 12 bolt or a 9". unbolt the stock rear,bolt in the new 1.

After you purchase an aftermarket bolt in one. Expect to pay around $2000 for either. A junkyard 12 bolt or 9" will not "bolt in".

The 9 inch Ford is stronger. From what I have heard the 12 bolt is about the same design and strength as the Ford 8.8. You won't break the 9 inch Ford rear.

Moser has provided me excellent service. The added strength of a 9" isn't a factor until you start pushing the design limits in my opinion.
