Shock and Spring Setups

Working on Suspension this winter in order to get ready to run at the track this spring. What is a good drag shock and spring combination thta is still tight for street use? I was looking at Hal, Koni, and Bilstein shocks and BMR, Eibach, and Hal springs.

What do u guys run? What would u recommend? Thanx for the help as always.

Hal is now QA1.

These are all strictly drag cars:

My Nova has AFCO shocks on the front and Koni shocks on the back. I don't know what springs are on it. My dad's Nova also has Koni shocks on the front and AFCO's on the back. I don't know about the springs on that one either.

My dad's vega has Koni's all the way around. Again, I don't know about the springs.

My boyfriends Monte has QA1's all the way around and he also has QA1 springs.

Thanx Jacki.

Does ur BF like the Hal shocks? I heard that they are a really great strip shock. Lately, I've been hearing that the Bilstein are more for road course racing.

Do u know how those Hals feel during everyday driving? I think I've narrowed it down to the Hal or the Koni. The Koni seem to be all over the catalogs but i haven't seen a lot of ppl running them.

Thanx again

As far as I know he is happy with them. I will ask him when he calls today though.
