Shock/Spring Decision Time

I'm looking to change the shocks and springs in my car for a drag racing setup. I drive the car on the street, but very rarely anymore.. It sees less than 1500 miles a year.. Mostly a weekend warrior and drag car..

I was looking at the HAL QA1 shocks, they seem great but very expensive.. I did a search on the board looking for other alternatives and didn't come up with much besides the KYBs which I think on the lowest setting are the same stiffness as the stock shocks..

I also read that the QA1 spring is a little 'too loose' for the 4th GEN F-Body.. Any opinions on this?

As far as the CE 3 Way for the rear, what do you think about that?? Change the rear springs also or leave the stock springs.. Air bag.. need one?

Just a little info on my car..

1994 Camaro.. 355 9:1, D1 w/ +15#'s of boost.. Moser 9" 35 Spline Locker, Reverse Manual TH400.. Right now I have 26 x 11.5 ET Streets on the back, but, I might switch to the 28 x 13.5 this winter.. Skinnies up front, Weld ProStars..

Thanks in advance,

Sean

I have the QA-1s on the front of my car right now and I tell you that is one of the best things I have bought for my car. I will be getting a set of QA-1s for the back after my swap is all finished up next year. I will also be getting an air bag.....every little bit helps......hooking up on stock type suspension is a big task when dealing with a good amount of horsepower.

Buy the QA1's worth every penny.
