Shifting

When racing, should i shift high (redline 6 k) or shift lower (5,500)?

Depends where your powerband of the cam is, what rpm you cross the finish line at, what gear ratios are in the tranny.

Stock Cam. Predetor Perfomance PCM tuning. Stock gears in tranny.

LS1s like to pull all the way to the red line so that's where I shift mine. It puts it higher in the power band after the shift.
