Season Progress?
Where are you with your racing season??
How are you doing in points if you run them?
How are you doing with getting your car on the track if it isn't?
How are you doing with tuning if that's what you're working on?
I'm fairly certain I am NOT going to qualify for the NED Bracket Finals. I missed 2 races and have not been able to get out of the 2nd round in the rest of them. We have 3 more points races though and I guess anything could happen.
Anyway, I've really enjoyed racing this year. I can't say enough nice things about all the guys that run in the "Pro" class at Atco Raceway aka NJFD - New Jersey Footbrake Division. They have been extremely supportive of me in my "rookie" points year offering up advice and whatnot. I'm definitely going for the "Most Popular Driver in Pro" award.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to run the $5k footbrake race in September at Atco the week before the Bracket Finals. Depending on how I do the rest of the year, I may even think about taking the drive down to Bristol TN for the World Footbrake Challenge next April.

what are you driving?
times?
Would love to do the foot brake thing. Never thought about it. Sad thing is; no calss for me, everyone on my track is using stutter boxes and therest of the goods. I'd be a first round meal....LOL

Re: Season Progress?
I'm having fun this year as always. I race the street tire shootout series at my track so I know what you're talking about with the footbrakin'. It's only 9 races and with 5 in I'm around 7th in the points and that's without ever making it past the 5th round which usually isn't even into the money rounds yet with 100+ cars and 1st or 2nd round buy backs. But I've taken little checks home twice.
I also race a local club series of track rentals and have won my class the first 2. They are much less stressful as there is usually less than 8 cars.
Looking forward to the cz28.com M11 event and the Toys for Tots charity race later this fall.

It's running in the 10.20 range in the heat, deep-staged.
Where do you run that there's no footbrake class?

Not having a good season this year. Can you say deep staging learning curve? I know it will pay dividends once I settle in. I'm already looking to next season.
Re: Season Progress?
Not running points this year. I've been traveling with the Pro-Stick boys and I'm about the slowest car and sometimes don't make the time cutoff if the weather is hot. Bummer to trailer 2 hours and head home after 2 time runs. I'll need to step it up for next year. Will probably try to shed 100#'s, freshen up the bottom end and heads, and hopefully pick up another tenth or two. I was able to manage a win in pro at the Carlisle all GM race. Also lucked out and smacked the Super-Pro down in a King of the Track race. It's those good days that keep us going for more!
Re: Season Progress?
Jim I'm working with the same learning curve as you this year. I'm thinking I'm doing so-so though. I was thrilled when I made a third round appearance on a Tuesday night Gambler's race a few weeks back (or a couple of months - whatever
).
As for pictures - I have tons of them! I don't have many this year, but I have a lot of the build. You can find them here: http://community.webshots.com/user/5spdchk
