Looks like a cheap setup. I think a nice set of P&P'd LT1 heads would work just fine.....don't know why you'd run a crappy setup like that.

Just kidding! That's a wicked project man! Can't wait to see the results (I'm sure you can't either!).

Dave,

This guy's a real ballbuster. He'd fit right in w/ us

Later,

Steve.

I agree. Why don't you just put that pile of junk parts in a box and ship it to my house.

Dave you got a kick *** setup coming together Can't wait to hear the track results. What initial expectations are you having for dyno numbers and track times?

Re: SB2.2 project updated pics

Thanks guys. You're right Steve, he'd be great to hang with, then I could have two people giving you **** all the time

I'm hoping for 750 flywheel n/a and then we can go as high as 450 safely for the spray but I'm gonna limit that to 300 and under for now, I wanna make the short block components live for that 94mm turbo next year . We should be able to get around 900 at the wheels, maybe a little more. I'm hoping for 9.0x's maybe an 8.9x if things go right, the moon lines up and I somehow learn to drive. The cage is certified to 7.50 and it's got all the required equipment. It's gonna have the power and it's gonna be fairly light. The manual trans will make it a challenge. Getting it down the track on a 10.5" DOT tire is another story. I'm sure that will be quite a spectacle. I'm gonna run the new NX nitrous controller to try and help with the launch.

I think Steve just got .

When do you plan to have that motor and everything together? That thing is gonna rock. I love it...~300 shot on top of a ~750 HP N/A engine! Definitely gonna be more challenging to wrestle that thing down the 1/4 mile with a stick, but the bragging rights will be more than worth it.

Re: SB2.2 project updated pics

We're hoping to have it on the engine dyno in about 3 weeks. Gotta get some parts yet. The headers are taking time. As you can imagine, no one makes off the shelf headers for an SB2.2 motor in a 4th gen F-body. We had Lemons make them. 2" primary, 4" collector.

As far as bragging rights goes, I'm already getting some static about it "not being a real LT1 anymore" I find that funny because some guys have the AFR 215 RR's on LT1's and that seems to be accepted. We'll see.

The stick will make it interesting. The trans is a G-Force T56 mated with the McLeod SFI bellhousing and a twin disk push clutch. It's a wierd setup and I hope it works.

Then I guess those same guys will really start hating when they're ~5 seconds behind you in the 1/4 too, eh?

Re: SB2.2 project updated pics

I wish we could make Memphis but our new business schedule has forced us to opt out this year. I hope you guys have a good time, we had a blast last year. I would have loved to bring the new combination out.

Re: SB2.2 project updated pics

Capn Pete & Fast Caddie,

Dave brought the parts to my place last night to show them to me and you guys are right...I'm not sure why he's going to run such a cheap setup. Oh, you should've seen the crappy billet Oliver rod and custom Diamond piston he had w/ him...cheap and lightweight junk

Seriously, this stuff is pretty hardfv(kingcore. The pictures do not do the parts justice. I swear I could take a dump in the intake, flush it and nothing would touch the runners...that's how big they are

This setup is going to be pretty cool. Actually, the best part of this buildup is that Dave sells me all his used parts at a great discount

Later,

Steve.
