That roll bar will not pass a tech inspection. You need the cross bar. It may make it hard for passengers to get into the back seats but the bar is still required.
The shoulder belts can not be attached to the floor behind the drivers seat. They won't hold you in an accident.
It may look good on the street but if improperly installed will be worse than just using factory seat belts in an accident.
Ignore all that if that picture was taken half way through the installation. I see interior panels still off on the passenger side.

I thought the S+W had the rear bars mounting down into the rear hatch area ( where the T-tops store)?
Anyone know if that's an option or maybe a custom build?

The number one reason that you need a roll bar in your car is to stiffen it. Swing-out side bars may be pretty, but they are not as stiff. I would also suggest that the best place to tie in the rear bars is next to the rear shocks.

Our roll bars are built to NHRA rules. We offer a low slung door bar to benifit people that still drive there cars on the street. Most poeple that are in need of a 6-point a still using thier's as a daily driver or drive them often on the street. So depending on the seat placment the track or the tech guy that could look at the bars as being in a grey area.
We do and always have offered a straight door bar that is about 2-3" higher in the middle than our low slung door bar. But for what ever reason very few people have requested it.

Dan,
I may have been abit abrupt in my last post, but I think you understand the point. It really does all come down to the Tech staff at the tracks you frequent. I suppose it is moreso of a gray area then just being NHRA "illegal", but if you know your local tracks are stringent about Tech, you may want to consider The straight Door Bars as Dan Mentioned....
I think your equipment is beautiful and well built, and I know you have a solid understanding of the NHRA rulebook, as evidenced by DeSilva's Pro 5.0 car. I have one of your Sway Bars, and will probably be in the market for your Awesome Parachute mount in the near future. Just feel some should know that they *could* get fingered at the track if the Tech Staff didn't get lei'd the nite before, or various other reasons...
Me, I have "X'd" Door Bars

The NHRA/IHRA rule books state that the side bar must pass the arm somewhere between the shoulder and the elbow. Gives you about 18 or so inches to work with.
