If it is a good converter you do nothing and you wont even notice you changed stall.
At the track just load up the car to 1500-1700-1900 etc.etc and see what works best with your set up,it wont make a big diff if you leave at 1500 or 2000,mostly reaction time will change.
I have a 4400 stall and launch at 1800,that is where I get best results,too high and the car pushes and screws up my lights.

Every engine/converter combo reacts differently at the track. I got my best 60' times with my PT4000 leaving at just enough RPM to get over cam surge.
With some of my smaller converters I used to hold the RPM's higher to launch.

I have a yank SS4000, it works best leaving at about 13/1400 rpms. Like said earlier every car and converter will be different you will have to make passes leaving at different rpms to see what works best. A 3200 stall will be almost like stock on the street if it is a quality converter.
