power steering questions

I've been riding around with no pwer steering for awhile and I was wondering exactly how hard is it to turn without power steering? My pump went out on me awhile ago and just spits out fluid, so I stopped putting fluid in it. I keep hearing about how hard it is to turn a 4th gen without power steering.

I dont think its very hard, put is it harder with a manual rack? Also, if I do get a manual rack...will it work with the factory k-member? Thanks all!

The manual rack will turn better than a bypassed (or empty) power rack. The steering ratios are much better on the manny rack (18:1 I believe on my Flaming River Pinto rack). The one I got modified from Madman will work with a stock rack. I actually have it on a BMR k-member, but ordered it with provisions for a stock rack. Works perfect and is only a pain when you have to turn the wheels when stopped.
