Thanks Rich
It's definatley a fun ride lol. My 99 SS is a drag only car.
Here is a breif explanation of the set up.
Motor. 421 ci SR NA iron block. LS6 heads, sheet metal intake. approx. 565 RWHP.
Drive train: Power glide, ford 9" with 35 spline axles and aluminum center section and 4.56 gears.
Suspension: Pretty much all BMR stuff. adjustable tubular LCA's, extreme duty TA, adjustable tubular Pan hard bar. Wolfe drag sway bar.
Misc.: Strange race brakes, PA K frame and lower A-arms, 12 point CM cage, Accel gen 7+.
Best ET was a modest 1.30 @ 9.81 @ 138.5. Car runs pretty consistant 9.80's and 9.90's in the heat. When it gets real hot she runs 10.0's. It's not the fastest LS1 on the planet but I sure have fun with it.
I'm making some changes this year. Wolfe mini tub which I have almost completed. I talked my wife into helping me this morning on this project. It needs cleaned up before painting and sweam seal.
New BS3 ecm. I'm going to give it a try. I hear good stuff about it. lol
I had the rear end shortened 3" per side, the tranny was freshened and I had 8 clutches installed in the tranny.
The motor is being freshened.
I hope to have it back together by the end of February.
Thanks for asking.
