Please post timeslips

Does anybody have some timeslips for a relatively stock LT-1 convert. Friend of mine told me he ran a 13.7 with a cai and cat back. Numbers dont look right.

Thx

It may be posible if the air density was extremely high. A 4th gen. 'vert weighs in the range of 3,800lbs (with driver) and would need ~290rwhp to run that time. If he's a superb driver and the conditions were perfect then I guess it could happen.

I don't see why it isn't possible. Mine ran 13.64 with no mods back in '95. Of course mine isn't a 'vert but still heavy nontheless.

Curious about the conditions when you ran that fast. The density altitude, or if that is not available the temp, humidty, etc. I'll bet it was a "perfect" day or close to it. Many people aren't aware of the huge effect of atmospheric conditions on times. And with a traction limited car, track condition becomes paramount.

14.000 @ 99.x with nothing more than a drop in K&N filter. Ran it on stock Eagle GA tires even. Eventually got down to 12.85 @ 105.x with just bolt-ons and very little weight reduction. Even ran a 12.91 @ 104.5 full weight including spare and jack.

I'm sorry I don't remember what the conditions were that day. I do remember that the temp was in the 60s in march. This was only my 2nd time at the track with the car. My first pass ever was a 13.96 and eventually dropped down to 13.88 that day.

Sounds like it was good air. What is the altitude of the track?

Rich,
My dad drove my stepmom's 94 Stock (BONE STOCK) Z28 to a 13.67 on a cool night at Atco a couple of years ago. It was the first time he ran the car and it had about 80,000 miles on it at the time. I don't know the exact temp and humidity but it was certainly a cool, clear night. Atco is just about at sea level also.

My '95 Formula vert, 2.73 gears, auto, 3800lbs with me and full tank, Stock except for 160 stat, alum driveshaft, lt1 edit set to turn fans on sooner, 1-2 shift set from 49 to 50mph, rev limit upped to 6400 rpm. 255-50-16 Nitto on factory wheels.

ET ranges from 15.20 @ 94mph to 14.70's @ 96mph, 2.3 60' deep staging. Shallow staging will reduces the ET by .1 I was bracket racing and wasn't conserned with making the car go faster. Getting the car to cut a light and run on the numbers is more important to me than reducing the 60' or ET.

On the other side my stock '95 T-top 6speed ran 14.20 to 13.70's.

Track is at sea level.
