Passing tech....
Passing tech....
I'm going to the track for the first time this week, hopefully to run, but depending on conditions and how busy it is, I may just watch this time out.
My question is, what do I need to pass tech for my N20? I'm not worried about anything else on the car passing, as it's pretty stock and this is a test 'n tune night, but I have no idea what safety they require for the nitrous.
The track is route 66 raceway, but the web site says see the NHRA rulebook for tech inspection details.
Maybe if somebody could just link me to a site containing the complete NHRA rules, I could probably figure it out myself, but I couldn't find any of those yet on the web.
Thanks
John

Nothing really special about having NOS on a car. The only thing tech will want to see is that the pressure relief valve is vented to the outside of the car. It's an extra that you'll need to buy since there's no way to isolate the bottle from the driver's compartment. Even mounting it inside the spare tire hole won't pass tech.
As long as everything else is hooked up properly with all the provided hardware, only the external vent will be required.
