Not the Camaro, but a new best

I am pretty psyched, just got back from the track. First time out this year with my 27T BBC and ran 8.64 @ 154. That was with a 100hp shot of nitrous. It's set up for up to 250, but I am going to leave that for the end of the year, partly 'cause the chassis certification is only good for 8.50 and I want to preserve my credibility with the track owner.

Happy racing to all.

Rich,

8s are really hauling a$$ (super comp 8.90 dragsters excluded). Post some photos for your BBC, 27T.

I guess you're required to have a S/G license to run 9.99 and below. I have some friends with mid to low 8 second classic Camaros (67, 68s) and they are a hand-full to drive. However, one of the Camaros is now history. Really bad crash about three weeks ago. Michael is OK, but the car was completely distroyed (2 years to build).

I think I'll just stay in the 10.00 and above range.

I don't have an easy way to host photos. Let me see if there are any in the one place I can easily do it.................. It sure is fun, I need to get my license upgraded, as of now it's an IHRA "D", good for 8.99. I must say that after getting this car I will never try to build a race car out of a street car again. No comparison in so many ways.

OK, here's one, sorry it's so big.

My buddy Sean did the paint. I originally picked out a "House of Kolors" shade for the base orange. It was like $300/qt!!! I had no idea paint could be so much $$$$$. Sean found a Kia (yes as in "Kia Sephia") color that was almost identical and we used that. Even so, the materials alone were about $800 for the paint job. I couldn't have afforded to do it if I had to pay full retail.

That is a really good looking 27T, especially the paint job. Thanks for posting the photo. Are you running the electronics for the super-pro class (delay box, trans-brake, Etc.)?

There is similar roadster at our track, possibly the same fiberglass kit.

Yes, I am running a delay box and a brake in SP. If the body looks the same, ask the guy at your loacl who manufactured it. I got mine from the 3rd or 4th owner and would like that info.

Thanks.

Thats the common thought amongst many men, "Aww I should have...Could have done this differently..".

Starts out with a simple trip to the track just to see what it will do...then heck just a few bolt-on to at least make it respectable...then, aww whats a few more mods going to hurt at this point....then poof, you have a damn near dedicated race car!!
