No 12's (yet) But New PB

Went to the track today and had a good time.

They had a few timing problems, no 1/8th on one slip no MPH on another.

The car ran real well but I couldn't get a decent 60 ft time even with the DR's.

It was also the first time its been WOT since the LT install and tune.

First Run 11:06am RL
60ft 2.009 1/8 N/A 13.209 at 106.33mph

Second Run 11:15 LL
60 ft 2.058 1/8 8.544 at 85.21mph 1/4 13.183 at 106.35mph

Third Run 11:29 LL
60ft 2.055 1/8 8.546 at 85.23mph 1/4 13.175 at 106.96mph

Fourth Run 11:37 RL
60ft 2.015 1/8 8.537 at 85.51 mph 1/4 13.161 at 106.33

Fifth Run 11:43 LL (Best Run)
60 ft 2.066 1/8 8.534 at 85.57 1/4 13.141 at 107.83

Sixth Run 12.21pm RL
60ft 2.013 1/8 8.579 at 84.96 1/4 13.231 MPH N/A

Too many FWD cars driving right through the water box :x

A lot of peoples 60fts were off as they were spinning.

If you're looking for 12's maybe get that 60' down by adding some suspension? No sure what your ultimate goal is. Those Hoosier DR's should hook up even with stock stuff on a good day.

Lots of cars had problems hooking, guys on street tires were in the 2.2- 2.4 zone.

Poor track prep and FWD cars pulling water to the line.

I already read that, I'm just saying either some suspension and/or a good track day may get you into the 12's.

Lower control arm relocator brackets work wonders and are very cheap. I put them on my old Formula and it took alot of fun out of daily driving with the added traction.

Are you getting the tires hot enough? running the right pressure?

Yeah I run Hoosier DRs on my race car and pull 1.4-5 sixties with my fronts in the air every pass. I have never spun them.
Medium burnout, 21 psi.

Bingo! That's gonna be the key, you will hit 12's all day long with that.

With that kind of mph and a 3600 stall you should hit low to mid 12`s if you can
get it to hook.

I know what you mean. On a stock internal, stock program, stock rocker arms even, I went 13.003 @ 106.64mph. I couldn't get a twelve second timeslip no matter what. I gave up the quest on stock internals with stock suspension, built a 383 stroker with AI heads and the works. Got a 12 second pass under my belt, now chasing the 11's. I am beginning to think this will never end
