Arrow New Runs with FLP Level 4 & 3600 stall.

Well the last time out I was running a 3200 stall on ET Streets. Ran 12.3 to 12.4 all day (12 Runs)
Now I have a FLP Level 4 trans & 3600 stall. I improved my 60' times from 1.64's to 1.61's but lost about 1 - 2 MPH consistantly from last time out. Also lost about 1 tenth consistantly.

Well for tonight's best: Race Wt with Driver: 3605#
R/T= .007
60':= 1.61
330'= 4.98
1/8 = 7.833
MPH = 85.81
1000' = 10.323
1/4 = 12.437
MPH = 106.74

Positives is that my times & Speed through the 1/8 mile are almost Identical to last years & today there was a brisk head wind. Also I need to get my shift points upped from 5900 RPM to about 6400 RPM's & the converter is killing me right before the traps. I think I need to get a lock up switch.
I was hoping for some 12.2's or 12.1's with tonights weather & for possibly 11's with a tail wind someday but I don't feel it unless I lighten it up a bit more.
I think I may just install my GTP Stage 2 heads on that I have lying in the garage sooner. I wanted 11's on stock heads but I am a long way away.....

Just thought I'd share.....& please feel free to comment.

You sound a bit like me. Except I drive a mustang.

We have the same goals and almost the same times. I have a timeslip that looks almost identical to yours.

60'-1.701
330'-5.034
1/8-7.870@86.78
1000'-10.336
1/4-12.428@107.21

I am also wanting 11s naturally aspirated. Right now I am sitting at 274rwhp in a car that roughly weighs 3300-3350 lbs with the driver in it. I am going to port the heads and put 1.7 roller rockers in and hope to hit 300-320rwhp and run high 11s na with a 302.

Good luck in your quest for 11s man.

Get the shift points to 6200, i bet on the old trans it would start the shift at 5900 and end up where it needed to. With the new FLP trans it shifts like it is supposed to and therefore the 5900 is too low.

I agree with Shon on the trans shifting late(old trans) . I shift my Hotcam close to 6500 and it runs times close to yours with a heavier car and less gear. Ken said he turned his Hotcam close to 6800. I too am at the end of my rope with the Hotcam so I am swapping gear converter and camshaft in my quest for 11's N/A and 10's on the gas

Loose some weight out of the car and you can go 11s with the HOT cam. I went 12.3s with an A4 at 3400#s, you went 12.3s at 300 more pounds. You have an 11sec car if you can get rid of some crap...and gears helped my car .3 in the 1/4, same car was 12.6s with 3.23s and went 12.3s with 3.73s with the same 60s.

I know it could go 11's with the Hotcam but it would only be on good cool days and probably only 11.90's. I would like to be able to run 11.90's in the heat and 11.60-70's in good weather N/A. It would have went 12.20's a couple weekends ago at 3650lbs but I broke the posi I have since fixed that but the weather is turning to crap fast down here in Louisiana. The car ran 12.50@109mph with a 1.90 60' one wheel peeling. I will let you guys know what it does in the next couple weeks. Later
