New best and new launch pic again, lol...
Damn bracket car!
First pass off of the highway...
11.77@115 w/1.64 60' (same as last week's best so I knew I should get a little quicker)
2nd pass: 11.75@115 w/1.64 60'
3rd pass: 11.75@115 w/1.64 60'
4th pass: 11.74@115 w/1.61 60'
5th pass: 11.67@115 w/1.58 60' (NEW BEST and First 1.5x sixty foot!)
6th pass: 11.76@115 w/1.63 60' (car was actually TOO COOL, which it doesn't seem to like)
Can't complain about a 112,000 mile engine/car/suspension with a "baby" cam and a converter yanking the driver's wheel up 2 or 3 inches on every pass....still running the STOCK CATBACK too, lol...w/NO CUTOUT.

Exactly, if it works, don't fix it. And my car is the same way about being cooled off. It runs better when it's warmed up. Guys look at me strange when I'm letting it idle a while in the staging lanes as they push theirs to the front.
I "heard" yesterday we had negative DA at Cecil...Don't know for sure. Ambient temps were in the high 40's. The BP and humidity readouts on the timeslip are way off, but local weather said humidity was low.
The car does not spin, so I had the chance to keep playing with launch rpm, which got me the 1.58, but sadly, I didn't make a note of it. I'll have to figure it out again come Spring, lol. I know it'll go a 1.64 with my eyes closed though, haha.

That's what I like about my Yank converter, there is no sweet spot, the higher the launch rpm the harder and quicker it launches.
I assumed that your's is spinning just a little because you had a bunch of 1.64 then a 1.58, that generally means that the 1.64s include a tiny bit of spin.
Isn't Cecil a sea level track? If so 40° temps and anywhere near normal humidity will give negative DAs unless you were under the low pressure cell form hell.
If it spins, there's no signs of it. Everyone that watches the car says it hooks and goes. There's been a lot of people watching it since it sounds real quiet with stock catback and clicks off an 11 something every pass.
That pic is actually the first pass of the day, fresh off the highway, a 1.64....followed by two more.
When I tried raising the launch rpm slightly, I got the 1.61, then the 1.58.
Last pass, the 1.63 did spin the tires a half turn on launch I was told. There was a wreck and we sat for well over an hour waiting to run.
Another guy that was there said the DA was roughly -1000ft., and local weather said humidity levels were 50-ish.
Cecil is indeed a sea level track, which is nice.
