Thumbs up New best... killed the tranny...

Made it out to the track the other day to try out the new converter, Yank UT4800. Car was back in street trim so race weight was around 3,560. I got five runs in for the night and spent most of the time keeping the car off the wall thanks to traction issues. First two passes were a total loss as the car would not hook at all and was all over the track... poor burnouts. Only "issue free" pass was an 11.27 @ 118.23 on a 1.51 60'. The next pass the tranny decided that it's time to act up and was banging the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift. Back pedaled and got it to shift, good for an 11.26 @ 118.94, 1.51 60'.
On the last pass of the night I dropped the belt to see how it would do, but I was screwed fron the begining... guy ahead of me pulled water up to the line, so I spun to a 1.58 60'... 1-2 was hitting the revlimiter and had to back pedal to get a shift... 2-3 did the same thing only when it did shift it broke the tires loose and sent the back end sliding so I eased out of it a bit. Still went 11.36 @ 118.07... obviously likes the belt dropped since the ET and MPH were not that bad for having so many issues on the run.
Time to go through the tranny and then pull some weight back out.
Also it's time for some 4.10 gears since my trap rpm is still only 6,300.
Steve...
