Talking New Best!!

Old best was a slow 12.71@109, but today I managed a 12.60@113.6 on my first pass Not a huge improvement, but an improvement none the less!

If I wasnt such a dang pu**y of the line, I'd cut ALOT off...the 60' on that run was a 2.04 However, since this car is my daily driver, I fear for the poor 10 bolt

Nice numbers. With mph you can get that time done for sure.

Thumbs up

Nice work, Our 2002's trap really high!
What tires are you using? I'm 12.85@113.36 on street tires. Can't wait to get some DRs or better. I can't cut better than 2.20 on these.

You're gonna laugh, but I slapped the DR's on for those runs...however, I was launching off of idle. On my stock streeties (RSA's) I cut nearly the same 60'. When I have the 12 bolt waiting, I'll launch it on the 10 like it should be and go for at least one 1.8x before it goes Like I said, I'm a pu**y at the line

Not that it makes it better, but that time is also with FULL interior-no weight reduction whatsoever, not even the swaybar OR the spare taken out. I figure if I yank the seats, tire, and swaybar, and I launch it right, I should see some easy high 12.3-low 12.4's, at the least.

Congrats on the times. Some guy in another thread is claiming to trap the same with just a lid and a cat back.

But too close for your comfort, slappy

It's possible to do that with a lid and catback- one of the guys I run with up here did a 12.5x on a tire and only lid and cutout. He's a da*m good driver.

How you figure? 2 tenths is many many cars. Especially when i out 60' you by 3 tenths. Keep trying.

2 tenths is about a 2 carlengths advantage at the end of the 1/4 mile.

Yes, we know...and unfortunately for me, I was the one viewing those ugly LT1 taillights
But I'm gunning for him, and he's getting scurred

Yes 2 tenths is about 2 carlengths at the big end but you gotta figure I'm going to murder her tail at the start and prolly tree her to. She only cuts 2oh's and I'm fixing to start cuttin some 1.6's. So its going to be reallll ugly.

No I'm not scurred. Just tell this to yourself when you start getting a big head. "I couldn't have done it without J D"

Anyway congrats on the new time.

My buddy had the exact same set up as you do on his '01 Z28 but his was an A4 and it's gone a best of 12.52...

Dont get me wrong, thats a great time that you just got...just cut the obvious 60' down...
