Need a rough Idea
Need a rough Idea
Going to the track for the first time with the car come the 29th.
I do not have a helmet yet so I need to have a good idea on what I could run because I don't want to have to leave after my first run (sometimes they say slow down, sometimes they say leave)
Mods in sig and I will run a 100 shot after some N/A runs
Tires right now are P235's, sometime after my first track night I am going to get the new M/T radials on the car.
I am thinking a mid 13 on the motor if I hook descent (sometimes hook pretty good) and mid 12 on the 100 (going to a 150 after a while)
I figure I will run a few times N/A then at the end of the night spray it so if I get kicked out its no big deal but if I hook pretty good off the line I will be tempted to spray it...

Just curious if I can't get it that night, I may just stay off the spray and run motor only. I will buy one before I put the 150 in and the radials

Re: Need a rough Idea
Get a decent helmet. Even if you believe you will be perfectly safe you never know what might happen in the other lane. Nobody needs a dragster coming up their butt at the big end or some John Force wannabe with a fart can and a wing coming into your lane.
Full face, Snell 2000... It only has to work once. Not worth screwing around with safety.
