Keep in mind that a bike helmet is constucted differently than one for a car;
the bike helmet is designed to absorb one single blow while one for a car is designed to take mutiple blows as in the case of a rollover..............

That was true 10 years ago. New standards bring the bike Snell/DOT helmet up in specs that's why IHRA/NHRA allow them down to 10 flat now.

I use a M2005 full face helmet. What's the Snell date in your helmet? I believe 2000 is the oldest accepted. the 95's are now outdated and can't be used. The 2010's should be available in about 2 years.

If you want to know about helmet testing and what the difference is between a M and an SA rated helmet, go to http://www.smf.org/

The M rated helmet is accepted by NHRA/IHRA for the majority of all the classes and in all the door cars.
