Need help in launching!!!
Need help in launching!!!
Okay, I realize I suck... I have a 99 z28 m6... The best 60' i can pull is a 2.2. But averave more like a 2.4. I just spin way too much..
I pretty much can run a 13.6 consistantly... with a 105 ~ 106 MPH.
I just need some tips on launching with my manual..
I have tried at 1500 RPM's, and I usually just bog. I have tried with higher RPM's, and just spin. And I then seem to overcompensate, and bog
Should I try from higher RPM's and feather the clutch? Or Try from lower RPM's?
BTW, my car is bone stock.
Thanks,
John

I can get 2.0 60fts in my SS on the stock f1's by bringing the R's around 2800 and then slip the clutch abit on launch and at the same time, slowly increase throttle just enough to not spin but not bog. Its a very fine line that requires alot of practice but you can do it. 2.0's should drop your et .2-.35. Practice.

Try this:
bring revs to 2400ish on third yellow
dump clutch but don't move that gas pedal
when the tires start to grab and the front begins to drop
roll the gas to the floor.
I got some 2.0x 60s in the 98 SS that way with the tires at about 27 lbs. 13.3 @ 107
Heck it's worth a couple of tries and you won't fry your clutch.
