need advice on launching with nitto dr's

I went to the track two weeks ago for the first time ever. I only ran twice because the lanes were so packed but my first run was the best. 1/8 mile-- 2.1 60'-- 9.00 at 79 mph. I didn't have the nitrous hooked up then but i do now and just put a set of nitto drag radials on today. I need advice on launching and when to hit the nirous. I will be spraying the 100 shot.

All you can really do is experiment...especially considering you will have the power to spin them at will!!

1. Heat the **** out of those new Nitto Drags!! You want to see 5 to 7 SOLID seconds of SMOKE in your mirrors. Accomplish that by driving AROUND the burnout water, You probably don't need water to heat them up, then get them spinning..count to 5 and come to a stop If I can picture a good/sticky track, I would think you could hit the juice about 20-30 feet out of the hole, if that doens't work and you spin them, just wait until second gear is fully engaged and then hit it. Goodluck!

It's always fun to try to launch on the hose in first gear just after your engine passes 2500 RPM Ya never know! It might hook and get you your best time of the day! The sooner it engages(with traction), the quicker you will go!! Dropping .1 in the first 60 feet is like dropping .15 seconds in the whole 1/4 mile..

Don't forget! HEAT THEM UP GOOD. None of that pansy dry hop BS....hehehe
