My new track times

I took my 94 z28 down to the track(ware shoals, SC) last saturday for the first time. I ran a 9.8 @ 78MPH in the 1/8. The car is practically bone stock other than the old trusty flowmaster, and a diffrent intake setup, Is this a good time for this car? also, what do you guys think i would run in the 1/4? Thanks for your help

I found a timeslip when I was bone stock and ran a 9.8 in the 1/8th at 73. I finished with a 15.1@94 on a 2.3 60'. You must have spun quite a bit off the line to get 5 mph faster in the 1/8th than I have. Your time would probably be about mid-high 14s based on your much higher speed. What do you have in your car? tranny? gears? do you have your 60' time as well?

Actually, I didn't spin at all, i didn't even dump the clutch, me and the guy i was racing had a deal that we would just take off normal off the line. I have a six-speed, and if by gears you mean ratios, there stock. I was told that was a fairly high top-speed for the 1/8 by someone else also.

maybe your speed is normal and my speed is low? I'm sure theres a difference in there somewhere with mine being an a4 and yours being an m6. I'd still guess you would pull mid-high 14s though.
