Talking My first time to the track with ET streets

Well I am very happy with the numbers the car ran ! I went with only one expectation, I wanted to be in the 12.XX's... I got my wish on the first pass 12.93 @ 107.6MPH. I made 6 more passes that night just trying to figure out my launches and the car stayed in the 12's all night. My best pass of the evening was:

12.71 = ET
107.8 = MPH
1.96 = 60ft

I am happy to say the least and can't wait to go back on slicks to see if I can pull some 1.7's and hopefully dip the car into the 12.50's with 108 or 109 MPH??

Nice times. What was you launching at, and what did you have the pressure at in the tires? Get that 60' down to the 1.6-1.7 range and you should have some low 12 second slips.

Thats great. I am suprised the sixty foot is that high with ET Streets though... They should hook as well as a slick on a 12 second car. Let me put it this way, I use ET Streets and have no problem hooking up.

My launches were at 4k to 4.5k most of the night. The best pass in the car was done with a 5k and 12 psi in the ET's. I'm hoping for a 1.7 60ft to get a 12.50's pass at 109 ! ??? fingers crossed.
The only problem I have with getting the ET streets to hook is the fact that the car is lowered about 3 inches. I gonna play with my hal settings and see if I can get the car to hook any better ?

I run about 14.5 pounds in my ET Streets. I do have Eibach drag springs and Koni shocks in the front set waaaay loose. No sway bar. Stock shocks and stock sway bar on the rear. Hooks great. Probably the lowering is hurning your weight transfer. Et Streets are basically a slick with a couple of grooves and a very slightly stiffer sidewall. The goal is to have the highest amount of air that will hook at the launch to enable less rolling resistance downtrack.

As you can see from my sig the car is mostly setup for X-cross; although, I like drag racing better! I think putting the Hoosier slick on the back will allow me to dead hook the car, I just don't know if I can hit my 109mph goal with a hoosier slick (small)??
