Ok, going to see what the 3.73's..

are going to do. I swapped out the 3.42's and put some 3.73's in it. Hopefully this will get me mid 11's out of it. Best so far is in the signature. The car was only trapping 5800 with the 3.42's

I know the slicks are going out on me, hopefully I can get those replaced by next week but for now they will have to do.

With my little bitty cam the extra RPM on the top end helped me out by .3. 12.6's to 12.3s, no other changes.
60's stayed the same.
Good Luck!!

Not good, the slicks are all used up the best of the night was 11.82@114.5 thats with a 1.76 60' time. The car have been running low 1.6's just two weeks ago. (Another set is on order)

The DA for the night was in the mid 2000's with very high humidity in the 75% range. Also we have to adjust the shift points it's bouncing off the 2-3 shift limiter and sometimes on the 1-2 shift.

I gained another 400rpm going from the 3.42's to the 3.73's I'm trapping now about 6250

Once we get these bugs worked out than a stall converter stall speed change might be required, I'm pretty sure it's falling to far below where it starts making its power. I need to bump it up at least another 400 rpm.

Thumbs up

Ken once you put some fresh rubber on the back I'm sure you're going to love the 3.73s.

"Ding!, Ding!" Round two today. Have a brand new set of MT's Drags on it today. Plus got the shifting program adjusted, and hopefully Ed Wright will be out at the track today in case we have to adjust some more on the shift points.

Bad thing is the weather is going to be hot here, high today is going to be 95!

Hello All,

I have been hoping to see your new results. I also changed my gear to a 3.73 a week ago. I got to the track Friday and was disappointed on two counts. I couldn't get traction and ran a couple of 1.9 but one run spun the tires nearly the whole 1/4 and went 14.81. My first run was a 1.909,13.252 at 104.49. Before the change I had a 2.73 gear and ran a best of 1.880, 13.257 at 102.88. The other disappointment was my rpm at the end. I was hoping to add nitrous and not have to go to a taller tire but I was at 5350. With my stock heads the motor quits about 5600-5700. I compromised the suspension setup between handling and acceleration and am going to wish I hadn't. On the plus side the car does handle extremely well on curvy roads.

New tires helped out, pulling some low 1.6's.
The best 60' was 1.61 and still spinning just a little.
The best time was 11.74@114.22 that's with the DA sitting about 2200' the humidty was 57%.

I know once we go down to No Problem in November we are going to see some 11.5's out of it if not some 11.4's for sure.

Not bad, N/A on a stock bottom end 350..

Excellent Ken, glad the fresh tires helped out. We'll have to line up in November for some fun at the Shootout. I should be up and running by then... with the new "Underdog" combo...

During those runs the tires were set at 12-psi.

The tires still felt safe on the big end, it never wanted to wander around on the big end.
