A very big congrats to you.
You see guys!!! If we (LT1 owners) could bet our cars down to the weight of LS1 cars then our LT1's will pull just like the LS1's. I rarely hear anyone bringing up this point. LT1's are as fast as LS1's. We are just heavier. He is running now with bolt ons about what the average LS1 bolt on car runs. My race wt is 3700 LBS! My buddies with LS1 Camaros & Firebirds weigh in at 3500 or less race wt! There in lies our hinderance. We have the power. We just need to find it. A diet for our cars especially off the front end is huge!!

Congrats SAR2K!!! Awsome!!
I wan't some of those RR's now!!

You make me sick but I am happy for you. I know it has taken a while but worth the effort. What's next!!!???
Glad to see a bolt on effort going better than my H/C/trans swap!!!

How many miles were on your stock longblock when you did that? I bet an LS1 wont do that with high miles.

That is great news, but what was the DA when you ran? What weight reductions have you done so far? Congrats!

KCFormula, the car/engine have 88,000 miles.
a_z28_vance, DA on the 1st 11 second pass was -1629 and -1966 on the 2nd 11 sec pass. Thank God I was able to dead hook or that awesome air would have been wasted.
As for weight reduction... nothing out of the ordinary... run skinnies (full time), dropped front sway bar, pulled jack & spare, pulled my 36Lb subwoofer out, and rear seat. Car is equipped with a BMR K-member. The carpet, insulation, front seats, AC, etc are still on and working as are all the other accessories.
Steve...

A HUGE congrats Steve!!!! I'm now more motivated than ever to reach those same times as yours.... I now just have to figure out how to get some RR's, lean the car out, and run some low 1.5x 60' times!!!!

Again, those are some great times dude!

Now, what's next on the agenda for the green machine now that youv'e accomplished what no other has been able to do????

Congratulations....very nice run indeed.

I rarely hear anyone bringing up this point. LT1's are as fast as LS1's. We are just heavier.
With all due respect, this is simply wishful thinking. Weight is certainly an issue, but the LS1 makes 30-50 HP more - and that's hard to overcome.

Real quick...before the inevitable "torque vs HP" arguement starts anew, I suggest reading this neat page: http://mclements.net/mrc-PowerTorque.html
