M/T ET Streets

Does anyone know if 28 inch ET Streets will fit under a 4th Gen without major cutting?? I've been running 26 X10.5 16's on stock T/A rims, but I'm now running out of gear right before the traps.

I would like to go with a taller tire on my Drag Lite 15 X 10's to get a little more top end, and a little more sidewall, but they don't make 27 inch ET Streets.

I know Hoosier makes a 27 X 10.5 and a 27 X 11.5, but I've had real good success with the ET's and haven't seen many people running the Hoosier Quick Time Pro's.

If it matters, I'm running the Eibach Drag Launch springs / air bag / Spohn torque arm.

Thanks!

I'm running the 27X11.5X15 QTP under my 95Z28 with no problems. Ran a 1.51 60ft with them. I'm running the 7.5 convo pro's. Actual tire width is 10in. Frank95z

What offset do you have?

On my 15 x 10 Cragars with a 6 1/2 inch offest, and with a hacksaw to trim the lower wheelwells, mine fit just fine. I trimmed the plastic and just a bit of metal in about 20 minutes to get mine to fit. The tires are 28" x 15" x 12.5".

They will fit. I had 275/60-15 Nittos (approx 28x10) on it last year and had to do a little hammer work on the inner fenderwall.

No biggie though.

You may have to cut the urethane flap off from inside the front of the rear bumper too(right by the wheel). It's pretty close and w/ the tire growth on the top end, you'll start rubbing it.

You also may want to think about a 15" rim. More sidewall = good.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'm leaning towards the 27's from Hoosier.

They are going on 15 X 10 Weld Drag Lites.

Crap, just saw the part in the first post about 15x10 Draglites.

The QTPs are good tires and they'll dead hook anywhere. They will wear faster than the M/T tire though.

No one has ever mentioned this but....

MT makes a ET Drag, 28x9x15. That shows to be 27.3in tall from what they advertise on a 8in rim. Why not try those? I will.
