Lite weight front brakes?

I was wondering if anybody knows if anyone makes lite weight rotor and calipers for a 94 Z to use in drag racing. I really don't want giant rotors and six piston calipers, because I run a 15in wheel. What I would like is a stock sized slotted or drilled rotor and a nice aluminuin two piston caliper. This would decrease a little weight off the nose of the car and should allow the wheel to turn more freely vs the stock caliper which wants to drag on the rotor slightly. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Mark Williams, Strange, and Aerospace all make lightweight brake kits for the 4th Generation F-body. Jay at Billingsley Racing sells both Strange and Aerospace. You can buy the Mark Williams directly from them.

Thanks for the info! I've been looking for a kit like this for a while. It should knock 40-50 lbs off the nose of the car which would be great.

FWIW, I have the aerospace ones from Billingsley and they work pretty good. Light too.

BTW, I weighed my Baer setup and the Aerospace setup and I ended up with a net savings of 41 lbs.

Dave,
Was the Baer setup lighter than the stock setup or heavier? Just curious as to what kind of weight saving you would see over stock.

Re: Lite weight front brakes?

I never weighed the stock stuff but the Baer setup looks to be heavier than stock by a little. I'd have to think that your get at least 30 lbs difference over stock.

Re: Lite weight front brakes?

Are these brakes streetable? I am running stockers on mine with a manual master cylinder and would like to upgrade if these are able to be driven on the streets.
